Hoot jumper

Recently finished this jumper for my grandson.

One of his favourite tv characters is an owl called "hoot" and I thought he

may like a hoot jumper, but unfortunately not the case - he cries if anyone tries to put it on him. I think it scares him. Anyhow I made it a bit big so perhaps next year he will have outgrown his aversion to it. It is a bit weird looking isn't it? Made with Bendigo wool though - can't get better than that.

African flower afghan

This is the latest project. An african flower afghan. All the motifs have been done - 91 in total.
Now the process of putting it together is the challenge. Chopping and changing the outlay numerous times and still uncertain of how it should be.

It's a gift that has to be complete by end of May. I am not the worlds fastest crocheter, so fingers crossed!

It's been made with Bendigo wool, in a mixture of 8ply Colonial, Classic and Luxury yarn.

I love Bendigo wool, it's price is good and the quality excellent. I order on-line and it's delivered to my door. How easy is that?

Last year on our holiday, Bendigo was among the many places we visited.

It is a historic city, famous for the "goldrush" days of the 1850's and 60's.

This is a snapshot of the city of Bendigo

Beautiful historic buildings in Bendigo.

A birds eye view of the city. (oh, vertigo was happening here!) We climbed a tower near the beautiful botanic gardens to get this view.

A visit to the Bendigo woollen mills was de rigueur!

Bendigo Pottery was another favourite.

Happy Easter everyone :)

Wedding parties

I love weddings!
When Mary Donaldson married Prince Frederick in 2004 - we really got into the spirit of things and had our own wedding party.
We had such fun!
