Whilst on my trip away, spending a lot of time as passenger in the car, I managed to finish a granny ripple blanket. It's fairly haphazard colour-wise. I said to my number 2 daughter that I will call this the "Odyssey blanket" as it was created on our driving odyssey. She said "don't you mean Oddity blanket?" Well maybe she's not too far off the mark. Anyhow it serves a purpose, keeping my son warm while he lazes on the lounge. At the moment it's keeping Edward warm in his cot at nanna's.

A trip to Victoria
Earlier this month hubby and I went on a car trip to the state of Victoria, Australia.
We travelled about 4500 kilometers (2800 miles) and had a enjoyable, memorable time.
At Echuca a historic town on the Murray River, we took a ride on a Paddle Steamer, what fun, despite the rain. There is much to see in the town of Echuca. The touristy shops are a real drawcard. The quilt in the photo is an Amish quilt brought over from the U.S. and now hanging in a wonderful craft shop in Echuca.

Master Edward
Here is the apple of Nanna and Poppy's eyes. At ten months he is almost ready to walk on his own but enjoys the assistance of his little walker toy to get up and going on two legs. He loves bird watching on the balcony with Nanna and looking and feeling the flowers in the garden. I know he's going to be a Great Outdoorsman as he always points to the doors as if to say "take me out there, don't fence me in."Little Master Edward
