Whilst on my trip away, spending a lot of time as passenger in the car, I managed to finish a granny ripple blanket. It's fairly haphazard colour-wise. I said to my number 2 daughter that I will call this the "Odyssey blanket" as it was created on our driving odyssey. She said "don't you mean Oddity blanket?" Well maybe she's not too far off the mark. Anyhow it serves a purpose, keeping my son warm while he lazes on the lounge. At the moment it's keeping Edward warm in his cot at nanna's.

I'm enjoying this project so much, and its been so worthwhile. I have enjoyed my visits to the Nursing homes. I am off to the last one at 2.00pm today. I went to one yesterday. These posts will be blogged.

What a good idea to make a granny ripple for the little one. It looks so beautiful from where I am sitting. I did a close up too to admire it. The colours are just gorgeous! How lovely. A nice keepsake too for future years!
